Product walkthrough

How it comes together.

A property website built around the details that make a ranch, estate or tract of land worth a closer look.

Coalson Real Estate presents North Texas farms, ranches, country estates and commercial property. Its public website combines category browsing with detailed listing pages and broker information. The result is a useful example of an information-led website: photography introduces the property, while structured facts support the next stage of the buyer’s research.

Start with the kind of property

The main navigation separates recreational and cattle ranches, horse ranches, country estates, commercial property and other land categories. The homepage then presents individual properties with location information, a short description and a route to the full listing.

That structure gives a visitor two sensible starting points: explore a property type or investigate a particular featured listing. For this kind of website, category labels need to reflect how buyers think about the land rather than how the content happens to be stored.

Move from the photograph to the facts

The Brazos River property page provides an example of the deeper content format. It includes a quick-facts area, location and acreage information, descriptions of terrain and improvements, visual material such as maps and a survey, and an image gallery.

A property detail page has to accommodate both scanning and careful reading. Short factual sections help someone locate a specific detail; longer descriptions leave room for the characteristics that do not fit into a simple field. The useful design question is how those two reading modes can coexist without burying the enquiry route.

Keep the next conversation close

Broker information appears on the website, with a separate agents page and contact routes available from the property experience. A listing can therefore lead into a conversation with the brokerage as well as into further browsing.

For a high-consideration purchase, that handoff is part of the page architecture. Contact details, property context and supporting information should remain understandable together, especially when a visitor moves between the site and a phone conversation.

Treat listings as changing content

The public catalogue includes sold and under-contract labels alongside other listings. That makes publication status part of the content system rather than an afterthought.

A WordPress brief for a property business should establish who updates listings, which facts are repeated, how status changes are shown and what happens to an older property URL. These are useful editorial decisions to make alongside the visual design.
