Route and rendering plan
A route map with a suitable rendering approach for the agreed pages. Public content, authenticated screens and frequently changing data have different requirements, so the decision is made page by page where useful.
Product thinking, expressed in a thoughtful frontend.
A Nuxt project is more than a collection of Vue screens. I work on the content, routes, data flow and interaction states that connect those screens into a usable website or application, whether you are launching a product, improving a support portal or extending an existing frontend.
Where this fits
The work, made concrete
The final deliverables are agreed around your project. These are the main areas we can work through together.
A route map with a suitable rendering approach for the agreed pages. Public content, authenticated screens and frequently changing data have different requirements, so the decision is made page by page where useful.
Components, layouts and interaction patterns for the agreed user journeys. Forms, navigation, empty states and error feedback are considered together with the primary page designs.
Integration with the content source or APIs identified in the brief. Data requirements, response shapes, loading behaviour and failure states are agreed so the interface has a clear relationship with its backend.
Page titles, descriptions, social previews and canonical URL requirements for public content, alongside semantic page structure and internal navigation. These are implementation foundations rather than a promise of search positions.
Build and hosting configuration for the agreed environment, documented configuration values and practical setup notes. We also identify the responsibilities for backend services, content publishing and subsequent releases.
From brief to handover
We identify the people using the site, the tasks they need to complete and the information each screen requires. Existing API documentation and design files help reveal dependencies early.
We define routes, shared layouts, content sources and the boundary between frontend and backend work. Rendering, account flows and third-party dependencies are considered before implementation.
Components and page flows are implemented against the agreed scope. Reviews include loading, empty, validation and error states so the interface remains understandable beyond its ideal demo state.
The build, route behaviour, key interactions and deployment configuration are checked. The handover documents how to run the project, supply configuration and continue development.
Before we start
The best brief makes the important decisions and dependencies visible early.
Yes. I start with the repository, local setup, dependency versions and the change you want to make. Reviewing the current routes, shared components and data connections helps separate a contained feature update from a wider restructuring task.
A project can be scoped around an existing CMS or API. I need to understand how content is published, how authentication works and what data the frontend receives. Access restrictions, API changes and CMS configuration are identified as part of the integration scope.
Backend work can be included when it is part of the agreed project. The proposal should state whether the engagement covers frontend integration only or also includes data models, endpoints, authentication and deployment of backend services.
That depends on the product and the team maintaining it. A content-led business site may benefit from WordPress editing workflows. A more bespoke interface connected to application data may call for Nuxt or another application framework. We can compare the content, integration and maintenance needs before choosing.
A route or screen list, design references, user roles and API information are the most useful starting points. For an existing application, include the repository, setup instructions and a description of the behaviour you want to change.
